A fourth generation Floridian, Missy was raised to appreciate the beauty of nature and hopes to preserve the quickly changing environment through her amateur photography. 

Her passion for nature photography was spurred by her love of identifying different flora and fauna and what started out as taking photos to use as references in her personal research has grown into a robust hobby.

Some of her favorite areas to visit and photograph are the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Canaveral National Seashore, and the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. 

Her favorite subjects to photograph are wild birds, plants, and insects just living their lives in some of the most beautiful places on earth. 

Currently based in Central Florida, Missy is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Social Sciences, minors in Anthropology, Sociology, and Mass Communication.
